Valencia hotels increase their prices for Formula 1 weekend

The European Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in Valencia in less than two weeks’ time, from 25 to 27 June. Most hotels in Valencia are almost full and their rates have been increased.  Those establishments with rooms still available have rates four times higher than any other weekend before and after the Formula 1 event.

Although there is a wide range of accommodation in Valencia most hotels have been stadily filling their rooms in the last few weeks.  There are still a few four and five star hotels with availability in the city centre.  Hotels Spain has checked the following rates through Booking.com: a premium room is still available for 691.31 euro in the five star SH Valencia Palace in Paseo de la Alameda.  A room in this establishment is just 190 euro the following weekend.

The four star Husa Reina Victoria has double rooms available for 450.22 euro for the two nights, the hotel is in the city centre beside Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The three star hotel NH Villacarlos located in Avenida del Puerto has rooms for the Formula 1 weekend for 461.21 euro, while the same establishment offers rooms for the first weekend in July for 106.43 euro.

The Formula 1 teams will only bring to Valencia approximately 100 staff each so it will be the spectators and VIP guests invited by the teams who will take most of the rooms in the hotels.

Valencia is the third largest city in Spain, situated in the centre of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline overlooking the spacious Gulf of Valencia and opposite the Balearic islands.
