Top Marbella hotel reopens

After being closed for more than a year, Hotel Los Monteros has reopened for business under new management in Marbella on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Along with the hotel the exclusive La Cabane beach club which boasts a pool, solarium, bar and excellent restaurant is also ready to receive new guests. The manager of the five star hotel, Salvador Rios, confirmed that the hotel will have all its services “working 100 percent so that our guests will receive our full attention and a service to cater to their every need”.

The sale of the hotel to the new owners – New Monteros S.L. and Monterotel S.L. – was finalised on 01 July in Mercantile Court No2 in Malaga. The financial administrator, Judah Azuelos, allowed the sale of the hotel for the sum of 25 million euro without debt.

Needless to say, given such a tight deadline, the work to complete the hotel on time since the first of July can only be described as frenetic. Although initially the hotel had planned to re-open on August 1st, some administrative issues and last-minute hitches and glitches had to be resolved before the hotel could officially receive its first customers under the new management on 13 August. Some readers may believe the management rode their luck somewhat opening on that day as it was Friday 13th. However, in Spain Friday 13th is a normal day and the Spanish actually consider Tuesday 13th to be the unlucky day.

The hotel is without doubt one of the best 5 Star hotels in Marbella and guests can choose from several types of rooms for their stay in the hotel. There are 21 Classic Rooms, 60 Junior Suites, 11 Ambassador Suites and 1 Presidential Suite, all the rooms were refurbished as recently as 2007 and some rooms come complete with jacuzzi. The unique location of this 5 star hotel means every room has spectacular views of Marbella and the surrounding gardens and area.
