Hotel W Barcelona

The hotel W Barcelona prides itself in going way beyond the bounds of normal customer service in order to satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers during a visit to the second city of Spain. The hotel has a “Whenever Whatever” service as well as a department responsible for producing “Miracles” and “Wow Moments”.

The “Whenever Whatever” service is often requested by guests looking for different and original ideas as “gifts” to impress their friends or partners whilst visiting Spain. One of  the recent ideas organised by the W Barcelona was to hire a catamaran in the port so a guest could spend the day out on the sea with his girlfriend, then pretend that the engines of the boat had failed and be rescued by a helicopter during the wonderful Mediterranean sunset. It all cost the guest 4,000€, but his girlfriend was delighted with the surprise adventure.

According to Vincenzo… Click to read more about hotels in Spain

The hotel industry in Spain is conscious of its responsibilities toward the environment and is working hard both to save energy and minimize the waste of other resources connected with its activities. The hotels in Spain that have taken steps to protect the environment have also discovered that they are getting pay-back from their green credentials as they have been able to attract customers concerned about the impact of their travel activities on the environment. According to a study published in July in Travel Weekly, one in six U.S. tourists would pay more to stay in a hotel that takes concrete measures to protect the environment.

The hotel industry in Spain is aware that investing in the environment is beneficial for its image and for revenues. Discounts on Spain hotels

Many hotels in Spain have struggled all year to achieve full occupancy rates and this trend has carried over into the current high season in different parts of the country. The main reason still seems to be the fall in demand because of the economic crisis in Spain and abroad but many also ascribe the woes of the hotel sector in Spain to the increase in supply created during the construction boom of a few years ago.

For this reason, it is now possible to find last minute deals with discounts of up to 50 percent in some hotels in Spain. However, the most common discounts appear to be in the region of 15 percent. It would appear to be easier to find discounts on hotels in the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands as these two areas appear to have suffered more than others from the fall in demand from… Click to read more about hotels in Spain
