New One Shot chain opens first hotel in Spain

A new player has arrived in the boutique hotel sector in Spain and has just recently opened the doors of its first hotel. The new chain is called One Shot and its first establishment, known simply as 23, is now operating in Madrid. Central to the philosophy of Spain’s newest hotel chain will be the situating of its hotels in unique and historic buildings right in the center of any cities it chooses to operate in. All the buildings will be well-known for their high quality architecture. Unique design and quality concepts will be also reflected in the interior of each hotel resulting in a modern hotel concept with all the usual essential services to be found within the setting of a historical building.

One Shot Hotels acquired their first property at number 23 calle del Prado in the Spanish capital and the building has been refurbished to meet the quality standards expected in a modern three-star hotel. Thee hotel has 42 rooms and rates are to be set at between €75 and €125 per night. The chain is already planning to open a second hotel in Madrid later this year in the central area of Recoletos, near the trendy Barrio Salamanca. The opening is scheduled for October and will be called One Shot 04, another three-star establishment, this hotel will have an increased capacity of 70 rooms. These two hotels in Madrid will be followed by the opening of the four-star One Shot 09 in Seville which will have 80 rooms.

The company claims the fact that One Shot has chosen the capital of Spain to launch its business venture is a sign that, even in these times of economic uncertainty, the hospitality sector remains fundamental to the fortunes of the Spanish economy. One Shot Hotels is completely funded by Spanish capital but has an eye on international expansion and plans to open the four-star One Shot 86 in London, with 76 rooms, also later this year.
