The Spanish hotel chain Iberostar has expanded its presence in the hotel sector on the Costa del Sol by taking on the management of two hotels in Marbella and Torrox, a resort located about 45 kilometres east of Malaga. The hotel in Marbella is the Coral Beach and it will be open for Easter and the hotel in Torrox called the Malaga Beach will be open in June.

Iberostar purchased the Coral Beach hotel in Marbella in early September last year with a view to undertaking a complete renovation under the new management. The Coral Beach Marbella has now been designed for couples looking to relax in a distinguished and inspiring environment. The hotel has four floors and 170 rooms, all with terrace and views of the sea, gardens and pool area. The new Iberostar hotel is located right on the beach front and less than 1 km from Puerto Banus. The hotel also has a restaurant, snack bar on the terrace, beach club bar and a wellness and fitness center designed for lovers of relaxation and tranquility.

The hotel chain Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has just added a new hotel in the region of Malaga to its portfolio of hotels in Spain. The Iberostar Coral Beach hotel in Marbella will be the first hotel to be run by the company in the Malaga region.

Although Iberostar has already started to manage the hotel it is expected to close in mid-October to undergo a complete renovation of its facilities and services. The planned renovation will mean a complete revamp of all the rooms in the hotel, as well as the kitchen, reception areas, restaurants, gym and the outdoor areas such as the pool and the Beach Club. In spite of the scale of the undertaking the hotel management has stated that they are confident that the hotel will be ready for the start of the new season in April 2011.
The Iberostar Coral Beach is located right on the sea shore of the Costa del Sol in one of the most exclusive residential areas of Marbella. It is just a mile from Puerto Banus and just 45 minutes from Malaga International airport.

After being closed for more than a year, Hotel Los Monteros has reopened for business under new management in Marbella on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Along with the hotel the exclusive La Cabane beach club which boasts a pool, solarium, bar and excellent restaurant is also ready to receive new guests. The manager of the five star hotel, Salvador Rios, confirmed that the hotel will have all its services “working 100 percent so that our guests will receive our full attention and a service to cater to their every need”.

The sale of the hotel to the new owners – New Monteros S.L. and Monterotel S.L. – was finalised on 01 July in Mercantile Court No2 in Malaga. The financial administrator, Judah Azuelos, allowed the sale of the hotel for the sum of 25 million euro without debt.

Needless to say, given such a tight deadline, the work to complete the hotel on time since the first of July can only be described as frenetic.
