H10 acquires Hotel Lido Palace in Mallorca

Spanish hotel chain, H10 Hotels, based in Barcelona, has entered into an agreement to acquire the Hotel Lido Palace which currently belongs to the international hotel Group BMC Hotels. The four-star hotel is located on the island of Mallorca and overlooks the beach in the tourist area of Camp de Mar, situated some 30 kilometers to the west of the capital Palma. The management of the hotel will also be taken over by the H10 Hotel group.

According to a statement released by the hotel chain in Spain, the Lido Palace will provisionally be known as the H10 Lido. The hotel has 101 rooms, 16 of which are Junior Suites, all with sea views.  Among its facilities the hotel also features a buffet restaurant, a lobby bar with outdoor terrace, live entertainment, free wi-fi in public areas, a wellness area with indoor pool, fitness center, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi and sauna.

With direct access to the beach of Camp de Mar, and located near the urban facilities of the Mallorcan town of Andratx, the hotel is a great place to spend a vacation. The hotel was completely renovated in 2006 and will be fully operational as normal throughout this summer. The hotel will close during the winter season so refurbishments can be made in order to bring the hotel up to the standards of the other H10 Hotels in Spain and it will undergo a complete overhaul of all the major facilities.

With this latest addition, H10 Hotels continues to pursue its goal of expanding its presence in the main holiday destinations in Spain. Most of the hotels belonging to the group are characterized by their locations and are always either directly on the sea front in holiday areas or in the city centre of urban destinations. The acquisition of the Lido Palace strengthens the H10 presence on the island of Mallorca where it already has the H10 Punta Negra in the Costa d’en Blanes.
