Diversity hotels, the hotel chain that was launched in Spain as recently as June 2009, is continuing its national expansion programme for achieving rapid growth in the market by adding some new hotels in Spain in destinations like Seville, Gijón, and the Canary Islands.

With over 4,000 rooms all over Spain, Diversity hotels, a Catalan company based in Barcelona, has just increased its portfolio of hotels in Barcelona, by acquiring the two best hotels that were previously part of the Hotusa chain in the Catalan capital, the Hotel Grand Marina and Hotel BCN Design. The procurement of these two landmark hotels brings to a total of 19 the number of hotels which Diversity now operates in Barcelona.

Some of the other hotels in the group are located in strategic places in Spain like the island of Gran Canaria, the town of Calvia on the island of Mallorca and also in Madrid. The company has managed to put together a portfolio of hotels in Spain chosen because of their privileged location, exclusive decoration, dedicated attention to detail and high quality customer service.

The management of Diversity has developed a strategic plan which aims to increase its growth within the next few years to become one of the main indigenous hotel companies not only in Spain but abroad as well. The company expects to end this year with about 200 hotels in the group. Part of its plan is to market the group hotels through innovative on-line strategies targeting different customer segments by bringing different types of hotels under its umbrella, from typical city centre type hotels to smaller hotels with charm located in more rural areas of Spain.
